Deep Cleaning: Industry Differences

Every cleaning job is different. Each requires specialized alterations to fit within the parameters of what is needed to ensure the best result. One of the biggest factors that affects a change in method is what industry a particular client belongs to. The methods for cleaning an office will vary when contrasted to the methods used in cleaning a retail centre and, by extension, the methods for deep cleaning will be different too. Let’s take a closer look at how our approach differs when providing commercial deep cleaning services to various sectors.

Office Deep Cleaning
When deep cleaning an office environment, our first step is to prepare the space by removing clutter and items that have potential to obstruct the cleaning process. Sensitive equipment such as computers will be covered and protected to retain functionality. At this point, a standard dusting and vacuuming will take place in order to remove dust and debris that can build up and affect the utility of our equipment and cleaning products. Then disinfecting comes into play, wherein we will use specialised cleaning agents to go over surfaces such as carpets, desks, chairs, and other equipment to eliminate germs and bacteria through the use of sprays and scrubber dryers. Deep cleaning in office spaces needs a comprehensive approach to target all areas and provide a clean and healthy working environment for staff and visitors.

School Deep Cleaning

Generally we will undertake deep cleaning in schools over holiday term time, ensuring they’re totally clean when students and staff come back. What should be accounted for when cleaning schools is that the immune systems of children are not as developed as adults. There are also areas where dirt can accumulate unnoticed. To accommodate this, we take extra care to eliminate bacteria that young people could be more susceptible to, wiping down table surfaces, cleaning behind desks and cabinets propped against walls which often cause trouble when things are dropped down the gaps. This can sometimes require a total shift of furniture to get into spaces that are hard to reach. Scrubber dryers are also used with carpets and tiling. In cases where furniture cannot be moved, we will tend to use steamers to disinfect these areas.

Retail Deep Cleaning

Cleaning one retail outlet will differ to the next so to this end, we approach every outlet and centre differently. These are generally areas with high traffic and as such, cleaning needs to be taking place on a regular basis. A deep clean will happen once every few months or a couple of times a year depending on the size of the outlet and how much traffic it gets.
With utilities such as public toilets, a deep clean will include a total disinfection of all surfaces and the replacement of consumables such as toilet rolls, paper towels, soaps and bin bags. These tend to be the toughest areas with regards to bacteria and cleanliness and so it is a good idea to have them cleaned regularly between deep cleans.
All floors are cleaned, including carpets, tiling, and hardwood. This will include shampooing for carpets, steaming for tiling, and buffing for hardwood.
Display merchandise is cleaned, if necessary, as are shelves and desks. This will include dusting and wipe-downs. Depending on the outlet and particularly if a certain store stocks foodstuffs, different cleaning chemicals may be needed to prevent the spread of disease.

Our deep cleaning services are tailored to the unique needs of each industry, meaning we provide effective and efficient cleaning solutions for all of our clients. Contact us today to talk about how we could provide your company's premises with the highest standard of deep cleaning.
