Meet Chris, Our MD.

Watch Chris take you through cleaning a warehouse  post-construction.

We know what it takes to clean a warehouse and keep it that way, which is why, with the JCD team on-hand, you are in safe hands and left to focus on what you do best.

Tailoring Our Services To Your Needs

Waste Management

Waste operators tip the contents of a yellow wheelie bin into the back of a green waste truck.

Waste management and maintenance in warehouses can be challenging without proper knowledge of waste streams. We find most waste being disposed of in co-mingled skips that cost a lot.

Recovering cardboard, metals, polythene films, polystyrene and other recyclables, means we can process these for sale at market rate, preventing high disposal rates of general waste.

Exterior, Cladding and Roofing

A water-fed cleaning brush scrubs solar panels.

We attend to glazing, cladding, roofing, solar panels, and more, accessing pressure washers, steam cleaners, and gum removal equipment - including appropriate substances to remove graffiti and other challenging problems from your venue so it stays appealing to your customers.

We maintain safe and effective access with MEWPs/cherry-pickers, platforms and harnessing, where required.

Carpeting and Hard Flooring

A large carpet washer is used to scrub and shampoo a carpet.

Our carpet and hard-floor cleaning includes the use of extraction machines for built-up dirt, bonnet machines to improve presentation of larger areas, and steam cleaners. We remove chewing gum, perform strip and seals, and use Diamond Brite strip and polish, along with carpet pile extraction. There are multiple options to choose from in order to keep your warehouse flooring safe and presentable throughout the year.

Steaming

A steamer cleaning a hard floor.

Industrial steam cleaning is highly effective at sanitising surfaces and removing particularly difficult stains.

Production areas can harbour bacteria, so regular steam cleaning - to include all equipment, surfaces, and hard to reach areas - will keep these areas healthy.

We also use this equipment on warehouse exteriors to remove chewing gum and dirt from porous surfaces such as paving slabs.

High Level

A cleaning technician uses a high-pressure water jet to wash the side of a building. They are working at height, standing on the platform of a cherry-picker.

High-level cleaning services are hazardous and require specialist access equipment. We provide safe and measured high-level cleaning services for interior and exterior surfaces in warehouses.

Our team are accredited to work at height and have many years’ experience using MEWPS/cherry-pickers, platforms and other access equipment such as abseiling for hard-to-reach areas.

Pest Control

Four wasps fly to the wall of a building.

On occasion you may find your warehouse suffering with pest issues. These may start as a result of localised activity, or because of nearby developments having poor waste management and cleanliness.

If you are suffering with pigeons or seagulls, rodents, fleas or other critters, we use effective tools and systems to remove the problem, reduce activity and prevent further occurrence.

Maintenance

We work with our partners at Grey-Water Drainage Solutions to provide ongoing and emergency maintenance, covering the South-East of England, including training and managing on-site maintenance personnel.

Services cover running water, general electrical maintenance, drainage to include broken pipes or blockages, general repair to fixtures and fittings, painting and decorating, and more.

Guttering and Drainage

A blocked gutter filled with twigs, leaves, and rain water.

The team at Grey-Water has decades of experience in identifying the root cause of blocked drains, fixing the problem without damaging any of the drains or surrounding materials, preventing further maintenance.

Grey-Water uses top-of-the-line pressure pumps which can navigate hard-to-reach passages including sewers, all internal and high-level drains such as guttering.

Storm Drains

A storm drain.

Storm drains prevent rain from accumulating on flat surfaces by safely channeling it into main drainage routes.

Storm drains often go without maintenance and can routinely become blocked with mud, silt, sticks, and various other forms of debris.

Maintaining storm drains can reduce the amount of debris build-up outside, ensuring none of it makes its way into the premises.

Warehouse Areas we Service

Equipment and Production

Bottles with different coloured liquids on a production line.

Removing dust and dirt from building up; can extend the life of your equipment, reducing depreciation and maintenance costs.

These duties could be as simple as sweeping out access hatches on baling or compaction equipment or pressure washing equipment with specialist sterilisation substances and cleaning equipment as they regularly come through control/access hatches.

Packaging Lines

Cold drinks on a production line.

We support the regular cleaning of packaging lines, preventing outbreaks of salmonella and other bacteria that risk the quality and safety of food.

We provide specialist cleans with hazardous substances to maintain equipment and remove opportunity for contaminants. Though packaging line cleaning can be undertaken by in-house teams, our services are available for tougher operations.

Reception and Lobby

A woman behind a check-in desk hands a couple a door key card. The couple have bags with them.

Welcome prospective clients and other visitors to your facility safe in the knowledge their first point of entry is a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment.

We deliver top of the line polished floors with an executive shine, glazing, sanitised surfaces, topped with clean and fresh-smelling leather chairs that will ensure satisfaction across the board in all settings.

Washrooms

Three sinks with mirrors in a washroom.

Washrooms and toilets are major high-risk areas. If these facilities belong to industries such as food production, high standards are paramount. The prevention and spread of bacteria between toilets, public and controlled areas of the warehouse are vital to maintaining regulatory compliance.

We can also target areas of high dirt and dust build-up with our specialist handheld lighting tools.

Mezzanine and Racking

Mezzanine level floor in a warehouse.

With a broad range of specialist equipment, we’re able to get into the racking, shelves and mezzanine levels where dirt and dust often builds up due to lack of regular access. These levels can be high-risk as our operatives will be working at height.

We use MEWPs/cherry-pickers, access platforms, working from height scaffolds, pressure washers, rotary machines, steam cleaners and more.

Rest Areas

A large space with a long table and office chairs. A plant stands in the furthest corner.

Break rooms and rest areas have the potential to be contaminated by staff going in and out, spreading bacteria. Pests can be attracted to loose crumbs and other pieces of food that can fall to the floor or be left in bins.

We sanitise all surfaces, take out and replace bin liners, clean white goods like fridges, and dispose of out of date food that may be left in them. This ensures a safe and welcoming space for staff.

Management Offices

Interior of an office space with tables and computers in the middle. One one side is a large window that acts as the wall.

With a demanding schedule, an accumulation of dirt and dust on your desk can be the last thing on your mind. Management suites are often hosting prospective clients and partners, so first impressions count.

The space where your core admin team operate is a reflection of the warehouse as a whole. This is why we deliver consistent standards to all fixtures, fitting, floor and high-level areas.

What is the key to JCD Cleaning delivering great warehouse cleaning services?
We know warehouse cleaning is a demanding and challenging sector. It underpins everything we do when assessing projects, putting together commercial bids and mobilising services.

Businesses in this sector are typically operating within a heavily regulated environment, with standards other businesses may consider extreme. We are familiar with these secure environments, their cross-contamination and access controls, whether it is a food production area or chemical production plant; we have the professional know-how.

Our knowledge of industrial cleaning requirements, catalogue of industrial cleaning equipment and hands-on expertise provide a prospective partner for your business that gives total peace of mind when it comes to creating a safe, compliant environment that allows you and your team to focus on your core business.

    • Recognising and rewarding cleaning staff for excellent performance
    • Regular 'Quality Assessment' reports
    • An appreciation and respect for Health & Safety
    • Close customer contact

As professional warehouse cleaners, this is the formula we aspire to in all our commercial cleaning contracts, and underpins our company culture.

Why is it important to find a competent warehouse cleaning provider?
    • Maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations
    • Maintaining production levels, reducing facility and staff downtime
    • Preventing risks to reputation caused by contaminants in products
    • The average employee loses nine working days a year to sickness, some of which may be attributed to a lack of workplace hygiene
    • A typical office keyboard can carry up to 7,500 bacteria at any given time
    • Viruses such as the flu can linger on unclean surfaces such as work desks or electronic equipment for 24 hours
    • 60% of absences from work illnesses are contracted from bacteria such as E-coli lingering on dirty equipment in the work space
    • With 65% of office workers sharing phones and computers, and with a whopping 25,127 germs per square inch found on just a telephone, employers need to take cleanliness seriously
