How We Clean Industrial Sites

We provide comprehensive industrial cleaning solutions tailored to meet the unique demands of your facility. You could benefit from specialised cleaning processes for plants, production lines, and even mezzanine levels and racking.

Of course, each industrial environment has its own specific requirements and health and safety protocols, so our contracts are designed to align with each client's operational needs. We are trained in all aspects of industrial cleaning services, so when you partner with JCD Cleaning, you're choosing an exceptional standard of cleaning that upholds safety and shine.

As an industrial cleaning company, we are experienced in working alongside production teams, covering a variety of cleaning tasks during off-peak or scheduled maintenance hours, as required.

Daily cleaning routines ensure that critical areas (production floors, machinery, staff areas, high-contact surfaces) remain spotless and hygienic to support operational efficiency and staff wellbeing.

Watch Our Case Study

Discover what goes into providing an industrial clean to a cherry grading machine. Chris breaks down the process from the factory floor.

When it comes to providing industrial plant cleaning, the safety of our staff and yours is paramount. Our teams are available to operate outside of regular hours to accommodate your business, arriving before or after the workday to eliminate any waste or bacteria.

Our Industrial Cleaning Services

Carpeting and Hard Flooring

A large carpet washer is used to scrub and shampoo a carpet.

Our industrial carpet cleaning services include the use of extraction machines to remove dirt build-up and residual dirt to carpet fibres, bonnet machines to improve the presentation of large carpeted areas, and steam machines to disinfect and kill off bacteria in high-risk areas (or following outbreaks of illness).

This also extends to hard flooring across internal spaces, delivering the best industrial results.

Waste Management

Waste operators tip the contents of a yellow wheelie bin into the back of a green waste truck.

Much of the waste that leaves industrial warehouses is recyclable but typically goes to general waste, ending up in incineration, RDF or landfill. This can be challenging if you’re unfamiliar with waste streams.

Recovering cardboard, polythene films, hard plastics, metals, and more means we can process these for sale at market rate, preventing high disposal rates of general waste.

Industrial Steaming

Industrial steam cleaning is highly effective at sanitising surfaces and removing particularly difficult stains and ingrained dirt.

Production areas can harbour bacteria, so specialist steam cleaning - including all equipment, surfaces, fixtures and fittings - will keep these areas safe.

We also work in external areas to remove chewing gum and dirt from porous surfaces such as paving slabs.

Maintenance

A man in a yellow hard hat looks at a tablet for maintenance issues.

We provide industrial maintenance solutions covering the South-East, including the training and management of on-site maintenance personnel.

Our services cover running water and general electrical maintenance, drainage, general repair to fixtures and fittings, painting and more as per your requirements. We are helped by our partner company, Grey-Water Drainage Solutions.

Drains and Guttering

A blocked gutter filled with twigs, leaves, and rain water.

Our partners at Grey-Water Drainage have decades-worth of experience in identifying the cause of blocked drains, fixing the problem without damaging drains or surrounding materials and in doing so, they prevent maintenance at any later date.

Top-of-the-line pressure pumps are used, which navigate hard-to-reach passages including sewers, all internal, and high-level drains such as guttering.

High-Level

A cleaning technician uses a high-pressure water jet to wash the side of a building. They are working at height, standing on the platform of a cherry-picker.

High-level cleaning services are hazardous and require specialist access equipment. We provide affordable, safe, and effective high-level cleaning for industrial settings.

Our team has many years’ experience using MEWPS (mobile elevated work platforms) like cherry-pickers and other access methods such as abseiling for hard-to-reach areas and always take care to observe health and safety.

Exterior, Cladding and Roofing

A water-fed cleaning brush scrubs solar panels.

Glazing, cladding, roofing, solar panels and more! We have access to a full range of pressure washers, steam cleaners, and gum removal equipment, including appropriate substances to remove graffiti and other challenging problems.

We maintain safe and effective access with MEWPs/cherry-pickers, platforms and harnessing, where required. We also work on cladding and exterior building elements.

Storm Drains

A storm drain.

Storm drains prevent rain from accumulating on flat surfaces by safely channeling it into main drainage routes.

Unfortunately, storm drains often go without maintenance and can become blocked with mud, silt, sticks, and various other debris.

Maintaining storm drains reduces debris build-up outside, ensuring none of it makes its way into the warehouse.

Industrial Areas We Service

Plant

Cleaning operatives in full-body waterproof outfits spray down a large cylindrical industrial machine.

With regular daily cleaning, one-off and periodic cleans, our plant services include the cleaning of hard-to-access areas such as over pipework, ducting and equipment that requires platforms and scaffolding.

Dusting and maintenance, wipe-downs and sterilisation - we're familiar with training operatives in the use of auditing/PDA systems for completion on schedules across various facilities.

Equipment and Production

Bottles with different coloured liquids on a production line.

Removing dust and dirt from building up in plant equipment can extend plant life, reduce depreciation and maintenance costs.

These duties could be as simple as sweeping out access hatches on baling or compaction equipment, or pressure washing equipment with specialist sterilisation substances and cleaning equipment which regularly comes through control/access hatches.

Mezzanine and Racking

Mezzanine level floor in a warehouse.

We’re able to get into the racking, shelves and mezzanine levels where dirt and dust often builds. These levels can be high-risk as our operatives will be working at height.

We use MEWPs/cherry-pickers, access platforms, working from height scaffolds, pressure washers, rotary machines, steam cleaners and more to get into the higher shelving and ensure no platform goes untreated.

Offices

Offices can be a challenging cleaning task in industrial environments with varying staffing levels, shifts and schedules.

We recruit and manage personnel that operate as day-time janitors, evening and morning cleaning operatives.

Daily cleaning schedules ensure your staff desks, phones, IT equipment, kitchens and washrooms are maintained to the highest standard.

Washrooms

Sinks and mirrors in a public washroom.

Our operatives adhere to the strictest cross-contamination controls, especially in washrooms accessed by staff who often come into contact with hazardous materials, dust and dirt.

Your staff and visitors can rest assured in the knowledge everything in your lavatories has been properly sanitised at regular intervals. We also provide periodical washroom cleaning for a deeper service.

Questions

Industrial cleaning FAQs

Something we have not covered? Talk to our team and we will give you a straight answer.

What is the key to excellent industrial cleaning?

Industrial cleaning is demanding. Most sites operate in heavily regulated environments with strict standards, cross-contamination controls and access controls, whether that is a food production area or a chemical plant. We know these environments well, and we factor them in at every stage, from assessing and pricing a project to mobilising the team.

Our formula, on every contract:

  • Motivated managers who are incentivised to deliver results
  • Loyal, hard-working staff who stay with us
  • Recognition and reward for excellent performance
  • Regular quality assessment reports
  • Real respect for health and safety
  • Close, regular contact with every client
Why is it important to choose a competent industrial cleaning provider?

The right provider protects far more than appearances. It helps you:

  • Stay compliant with the laws and regulations that apply to your site
  • Keep production running and cut downtime for your facility and staff
  • Protect your reputation by keeping contaminants out of your products
  • Reduce sickness absence, as shared equipment, controls and break areas spread germs quickly
